June 21: Totally safe

And the journey begins! We have over 4,000 miles and 2 weeks of driving ahead of us.  I am praying that I can avoid any kind of traffic accident... Or even sudden stops of any kind because it will be immediate decapitation by picture frame.  Does anyone know where I can purchase a periscope, because I would really like to be able to back up without running someone over.
