We took an architectural walking tour today as a field trip. We spent time sketching the different buildings that are in the Loop. Our guide pointed out this building and asked us if we knew what it was. Turns out it is a prison with a fenced in exercise area at the top. As the guide described the building's features, the criminals walking on the top floor stopped to wave at my students. My students happily waved back.
