July 29, 2012: Kickball butt kicking

This photo was taken when we were still in high spirits and the score was still tied 0-0.  It didn't take us long before we lost it all and let 9 runs come in.  Final score: 1-9.  Best moment of the game: Either watching Captain Chris fall at least 6 times.  Or maybe catching the ball after it bounced off Cary's body.  Definition of ultimate teamwork.   Even with being the lowest ranked team in the division thus far, I wouldn't trade it!

July 27, 2012: Hold on to that Feeling

My first day of 29 was better than I could have expected.  I spent the morning in Michigan with college friends, met my family for lunch, came back to Chicago and spent a few hours serving at a homeless shelter, and then met up with some friends for some birthday karaoke.  If you live in Chicago, you need to check out karaoke at Simpson's Bar.  It is filled with working class, middle aged people who are the MOST FUN people to sing with!  We had a blast.  I love this picture because it was a compilation of my friends all singing together the classic "Don't Stop Believing."  I love my friends :)

July 28, 2012: LAZY river tubing

First of all, I swear I am wearing a swimsuit.  Second of all, I have learned that if you are looking forward to a relaxing day of tubing down a river, do NOT go with a group of 20 year old strangers who signed up for the same livingsocial deal you did.  You know, the kind of people who get super wasted by 11:30 and spend the entire time on the river and in the bus chanting "SALSA! SALSA!" for no apparent reason.  I would highly recommend tubing this river again, but will be driving solo next time :)
